We are committed to delivering excellent staff training and development opportunities, tailored to meet the needs of each Practice member, regardless of their level of experience or qualification. Our training strategy is to recruit people with the right core skills and provide them with the technical knowledge, resources and experience to develop.
Martin Arnold is one of the selected companies actively involved in the Apprenticeship Scheme that is run by the University College of Estate Management, formerly known as the Chartered Surveyor’s Training Trust (CSTT). The apprenticeship scheme encourages school leavers into work as trainee surveyors and supports them in their academic goals. We are very proud to recruit trainee school leavers every year.
Over the last 10 years we have maintained a 70% successful pass rate for the RICS’ Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), and we are proud to have five registered APC Assessors within the Practice. We have also established the APC Forum, where APC candidates can gain extra support from their peers and experienced members of staff, and add an extra tier of pastoral support.
We have weekly Practice training sessions, where we focus our commitment on life-long learning through presentations, question and answer sessions and team activities. Our training sessions are always well attended, well presented and enjoyable.
We also play an active role in the education sector; our Director, Adam Woolsey is an External Examiner for the University of Greenwich on their RICS accredited Masters Programmes and we retain close links with some of the country’s leading built environment University departments.
Promoting and nurturing the talent of our Practice members is one of our strengths and key to our organic growth and success – many of our most highly qualified partners and associates joined us at trainee and graduate levels.
