The major investment programme revitalised the building, and works were undertaken in consultation with Conservation officers to ensure that the refurbishment protected the building’s historic features.
The Client’s wish was for the centre to remain open during the works. During the works, MA liaised with specialist consultants to deliver design solutions for the architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical issues encountered, particularly as a result of the age of the building.
