Project Description

Martin Arnold acted as Employer’s Agent for Hyde on the 39 Unit, S106 build at the Wood’s Road development in Peckham.

The Shared Ownership units were all reserved in the first weekend of their launch, and indeed the development as a whole had a 100% take up very shortly after completion.

This area of Peckham is experiencing a wealth of regeneration brought about by the drive from local Government to make Peckham a creative and cultural hotspot. This has been spear-headed by the initiative to regenerate the Peckham Rye area including the station.

As well as acting as Employer’s Agent, Martin Arnold provided a Clerk of Works service for Hyde, with the works overseen from Golden Brick stage through to handover.

 

Added Value

Upon completion, the development boasted great green credentials by incorporating a combined heat & power unit to supply all dwellings, solar PV panels and highly efficient insulation levels resulting in economic bills for the residents and reducing the use of natural resources. We worked closely with Hyde to review and agree the metering and billing arrangements for the communal system to ensure residents received best value at limited risk exposure to Hyde as landlord.
