Project Description

A high specification development by Notting Hill Home Ownership consisting of the demolition of a 1960's office block and development of two new blocks of apartments for shared ownership and private sale situated on the north bank of the River Thames opposite Kew Gardens.

Added Value

With the development being so close to the river Thames there were a number of design consideration and matters to be addressed relating to flooding of the site and the basement carp ark, including the construction of new flood defence walls.

At the beginning of the scheme a specialist archaeology team identified a number of Neolithic finds.  This process had a significant impact on the programme of the scheme and meant regular communication with the contractor and archaeologist to allow the client to be better updated so that they could accurately forecast the revised completion dates to their internal clients, purchasers and the GLA.
