  • Development Four residential apartment blocks on a steeply sloping site, each with a lower ground floor to provide 74 residential units, with 29 car parking spaces, 126 cycle parking spaces and a children's play area.

Project Description

A former Thames Water site, the scheme was designed around 70m deep access shafts that are redundant and capped off but had to remain in situ. The scheme provided 100% affordable housing, within a 5 minute walk of Colliers Wood tube station, delivering a mixture of affordable rent and shared ownership homes.

Added Value

The original planning approved scheme incorporated CHP and large balancing pond to deal with SuDS measures. These features were forecasted by Clarion to drive up service charges and reduce the safe open areas on the site. Working collaboratively, we value engineered the design and delivered a leaner and greener energy strategy and removed the balancing pond in favour of more storm cell infrastructure. This meant residents will have fuel efficient homes with more autonomy over bills, reduced service charges and a safer, larger and more usable landscaped area.

The service provided throughout this project has been comprehensive and MA have been responsive and supportive on this project.
