- Development 30 Cornwall Gardens is a 6 storey terraced building (excluding the basement), located in a residential street. The building is located within the Cornwall Conservation Area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and is a Victorian Grade II Listed
Refurbishment of the external elements of the building to the façade and the rear elevation. The works included the replacement of the flat roof with a more energy efficient alternative which did not have a negative impact of the historic fabric of the structure. The works also consisted of specialist stonework and stuccowork repairs, lime repointing, paintwork, lime render repair and timber sash window repairs & replacement.
The philosophy underpinning this project is based upon the least intrusive means to ensure that the property was viable via maintaining its current use, whilst also ensuring that the visual impact on the surrounding area is minimal or otherwise mitigated.
MA specified and proposed the works to be in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance, whilst also heeding the requirements set forth in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s Local Plan.
